Archer Delivers Advanced GRC Content Library

December 7, 2009

Archer is pleased to announce major updates to our industry-leading GRC Content Library. With more than a decade of growth and development, Archer’s library of policies, standards, procedures, assessments, legal and regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines provides  our global clients with the breadth of content they require to power risk management and compliance programs through Archer’s GRC solution suite.

“Archer’s efforts around content development reinforce our commitment to delivering the most comprehensive and sophisticated GRC solutions on the market,” said Jon Darbyshire, Archer CEO. “We work closely with our customers across multiple industries to understand the content they need to fuel their GRC programs. Coupled with our solutions, the Archer GRC Content Library gives our customers an invaluable tool for streamlining compliance processes and minimizing risks.”

Throughout 2009, Archer has expanded our content offerings through the acquisition of Brabeion Software Corporation, integration of the Unified Compliance Framework, membership in the HITRUST Alliance, and partnership with leading systems integrators whose risk intelligence and compliance monitoring products feed into Archer for correlation, management and reporting. Now Archer’s GRC Content Library has been extended to include:

• Further legal, regulatory and industry standard content, including BS:25999, three additional FFIEC booklets, SafeHarbor privacy principles and multiple U.S. state privacy/breach laws
• New policies and control standards for privacy and business continuity management, fully mapped to the authoritative sources they support
• More than 4,500 technical control assessment questions mapped to Archer’s baseline content, and 200 new questions based on Archer’s control framework
• Version five of the Shared Assessments Program Standardized Information Gathering Questionnaire, mapped to Archer control standards

Archer clients, which include one in four of the Fortune 100, employ the GRC Content Library within the context of Archer’s Policy Management, Risk Management, Compliance Management and Vendor Management solutions. By providing organizations with control standards pre-mapped to policies, procedures, authoritative sources and assessment questions, Archer enables our clients to significantly streamline compliance measurement and reporting.

“When it comes to managing GRC initiatives, it’s easy to get lost in the complexity of mounting laws, regulations and industry requirements, and translating this information into policies and procedures is a daunting task,” said Steve Schlarman, IT-GRC product manager for Archer. “Through our GRC Content Library, Archer saves our customers the significant time and expense associated with regulatory research efforts, enabling them to focus on their business rather than weeding through compliance requirements.”
